I chose to do an eye illustration for one of my designs to reflect the glamour of Roxy Music. I picked an image of an eye which looked like it had a flirty, mysterious look about it. I traced it with a graphics tablet.
I thought the eye on its own looked a bit plain, so I used the tablet again to scribble on the design to give a scruffy, etched effect. I think it looks quite cool and interesting and adds uniqueness.
My designs for the interim crit:
I made a red version of the design, but I'm not keen on it anymore. From the crit I learnt that the colour of it didn't work too great. I plan on submitting the black and white eye design.
